Effective cross-business teamwork proved crucial for Pavilion Farms, who alongside SITECH and Contour Geoconstruction, got a critical grader operational in under 24 hours.
Pavilion Farms faced potential delays when a grader hired from Lewis Group arrived without a specific cab kit. This discovery could have significantly impacted their work schedule.
Fortunately, SITECH’s comprehensive record-keeping allowed them to quickly retrieve the original 2020 machine file for the Lewis Group grader, dating back to when the system was first installed. With the machine data file secured, the collaborative effort intensified.
Contour Geoconstruction provided a base station for Pavilion Farms to utilise, executed a full on-site calibration, oriented the designs to the specific site, and provided full survey support to the team, including supplying them with a direct contact at SITECH, to get their problem solved quickly.
With the machine data file ready to go, the teams at SITECH, Contour Geoconstruction and Pavilion Farms were able to work together to get the grader back on the ground. SITECH was able to facilitate the setup of accounts between companies, install the machine file on to a rental GCS900 grader cab kit, deliver the rental cab kit to site, and provide the on-site team with training – all within 24 hours of Pavilion Farms first reaching out.
The commitment of all parties to work together to find a quick and effective solution for Pavilion Farms saw the grader back up and running on the project with no delays. This level of collaboration between companies is how projects, customers and businesses can thrive.
The video shows the results after only a 24-hour turn-around; the grader is straight back into work on GNSS, still on schedule, despite it being not operational less than a day before.
Projects like this exemplify that when we work collaboratively with businesses and customers in the field, we can align to meet joint outcomes effectively, efficiently, and with a purpose for all involved.
